Bennie Gaskins Foundation for Impoverished Communities
Helping put an end to poverty is not always about donating money. A LOT can be accomplished simply by spreading the word of need or even giving time. Bennie Gaskins Foundation is looking for people that may want to take mission trips themselves with groups of people with the same mindset of giving and helping. We also are looking for different Churches that may allow us to broadcast those same needs via internet to their congregations from pastor's in these places of needs. There are MANY, MANY different ways of helping. If you are interested in finding out what YOU can do to help please contact us and we can help guide you to the ways of helping that best suite you.

Thank you all so much for the donations of time, money and shoe boxes for the children in Haiti. We ended up sending well over 300 pounds of Christmas boxes to the kids and it also happened to be the 15th anniversary of the Church there. Thank you again for all of the support and we look forward to working with you all again in 2013.
Would like to announce our next Mission trip to Haiti. The next trip will be October 10th thru the 15th. Our goal will be to take a group of 20 missionaries down there to assist in helping the school and church. For more information on the trip please fill out the contact form and one of the directors will contact you to answer any questions that you may have.

Bennie Gaskins' grand-daughter Kristi Brantley is holding a book drive for the foundation to send school books to the school that we are helping in Haiti. Being a teacher herself this drive is VERY close to her heart. Her goal is to be able to send 1,400 books for the kids over in Haiti. Needed are books for school grades 1-6 and written in English, Spanish or French. Please contact Kristi at her school, Global Outreach Charter Academy at (904)551-7104 or contact the Foundation via our contact page. Thank you in advance for your help and awareness.

We are currently seeking donations to finish the 3rd floor of the school in Cap Hatien as well as build a library for the kids for the books that were recently donated. Any left over donations for both the 3rd floor and the library will go to build a play ground for the children of the school.

An update on the March 2014 trip to Haiti. A total of 10 missionaries and myself went for a 6 day trip to assist in completing a security wall around the school and to bring needed items to the children. It was the first trip to Haiti for 9 of the 10. 5 of the 9 were teenagers and what a joy it was to see their reactions to the helping the children. MANY lives were touched and changed forever with this trip. We got a major portion of the wall built with the rest being completed after we left. While there is still A LOT to be done over there we feel we accomplished our goal on this trip. Assistance is always welcomed through the Foundation whether it come from monetary donation, school supplies for the children or toys and clothing for the children. Just simply shopping on Amazon via the link below helps these kids. I cannot thank everyone enough for the continued support of this Foundation. I look forward to working with you all in the future.
